I would like to make the powered by mtv badge i have in my myspace/facebook apps. A link to you rather then it just be a image. Drive some more traffic to your site. Figured was the least i could do for you providing such a great api. Anyways was just wondering if i could make the link goto www.mtv.com or if you prefer it somewhere else?
I'll post a link if you want to my myspace app. I'm just finishing up the latest version. But everyone seems to be loving it. I also having it routing all the api requests threw my server with a 24-48 hour cache depending on the request don't want to overload your server or anything and converts it to json-in-script just easier for me to use json then xml sometimes.
Anyways thanks for such a great api and access to such a wonder array of content :)
Thanks for the love! We're looking forward to viewing your app when it goes live...
As for the links, you can use the entire link contained in the <media:player> node of any video return. The <media:player> node always contains a link to the video either on MTV.com or the new MTVMusic.com.
You said you were looking forward to seeing it when the latest version was finish and myspace just approved it :)

or
http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=115958
Still have lots more ideas and features coming but i think its coming along nicely so far.
Oh and anytime there is a video from MTV playing it pops up your powered by logo on the right side of the page and its linked to whatever url is in the <media:player> node for the currently playing video. :)
In typing this i just thought it may throw a error if you don't have a myspace account. So if it does i'm already working to fix it - although certain features will be disabled with out a myspace account.
Some people are already finding it useful hopefully others will too. I know myself i have got sucked in watching videos for hours after i added the related artists and videos feature. Because it kept reminding me of bands i liked so i had to watch those videos
